Musical aid for Haiti at the hands of 'The Y'
YMCA to raise cash in 'Hands For Haiti' event at Norwich Arts Centre.
Tuesday 11th May 2010
'Hands For Haiti' will aim to raise charity cash through a live local music event featuring MCs and DJs, singer/songwriters and bands currently residing in the YMCA. Taking place on May 14th as part of the Nowich Fringe Festival, the event carries emphasis on solidarity and compassion, and aims to empower young people to utilise their musical skills in an unique and charitable way.

The event will be split into two halves - the first a guitar-based set, the second focussing on urban music.
Doors open at 7.00pm at Norwich Arts Centre, at £5.00. At 8.00pm, DJ Suburban Fox gives way to punkster Gaven Clarke, singer/songwriter Joshua Holliday, rock band Death Rattle, and DJ sonofsam. MCs Kro and James Routledge feature in the urban music set, alongside DJ Matty Owen.
The UK's youngest professional beatboxer, 17-year old Intensi-T appears as special guest.
Limited-edition YMCA T-shirts are also on sale to boost the appeal fund at £6.00.
