Hellesdon local claims prize for Pumpkin Dragon design.

Katy Mavilio, of Hellesdon, was said to be 'flabbergasted and at a loss for words', when contacted by the organisation. She wins a cheque for £100, along with a selection of merchandise from this years' festival.
The Norwich Beer Festival runs this year from Mon 25th - Sat 30th October, and will, as always, take place in St. Andrews' Hall. The festival is well-known - not only for its huge selction of local and countrywide beers and ciders, but also for its distinctive Dragon logos that feature on the collectible pint glasses issued to drinkers at the door.
Planning for this years' festival is underway, and entries for the glass competition were said to be of an exceptional standard. Judging of entries took longer han usual.
Martin Ward, Festival Organiser, said of the competition
“The quality of the designs this year was up to its usual high standard, and to be judged the winner from so many excellent entries is testament to the robustness of the design."
Runner-up entries will also be on display throughout the festival.
St. Andrews Hall
St Andrew's & Blackfriars' Halls in Norwich, Norfolk are the most complete Friary complex surviving in this country and have been welcoming visitors since they passed into Civic hands in 1538.
