The Waterfront

Sweaty ceilings, cheap booze and loads of students.

The Waterfront is a live music venue and nightclub situated in King Street close to Norwich City Centre and the Riverside leisure development. It has been run by the Union of UEA Students since 1993.  It is not however a student club and entrance is open to anyone.  The Waterfront operates all year round: Fridays and Saturdays are regular club nights and live music takes place on a further two or three nights a week.  The building comprises two floors.  The ground floor contains a 700 capacity main room with integral bar, dressing rooms and toilets. The first floor is has 200 capacity room, a café bar and an open plan office.

The Union is an independent organisation that represents the students at the University of East Anglia. It also manages the shops, bars and entertainments on the main campus as well as providing welfare services for its members. The Waterfront is run as part of the Union’s Bars and Entertainments department.

The Waterfront is proud to offer full disabled access. There is a level entry, a lift between both floors as well as disabled toilets on both floors. For live gigs we ask that wheelchair users contact us before attending so we can make arrangements for them to get a better view of the act if possible.
