Ambar is the premiere bar and lounge in the Odeon Cinema on Riverside. It is a gorgeous venue, with a great range of drinks, a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic service which make it a perfect place to spend a casual and cosy evening with your friends!

We serve draught beers, a wide range of hot and cold food including a brand new all day breakfast menu and weekly baguette specials to eat in or take away.

We are not simply a place to have a quick drink in before seeing the latest Hollywood offering! In the mornings you can get a gorgeous coffee to start your day, maybe treating yourself to one of our raspberry and white chocolate muffins or perhaps a hunger-busting bacon buttie?

For lunch we serve fresh baguettes and toasted paninis, and you should definitely look out for our baguette specials! Why not suggest a new filling to our team that could make it to our specials board in the weeks to come?

Still hungry? Dinner could be a succulent and spicy chicken burger or tower beef burger with bacon and onion rings, or perhaps a Thai curry or maybe fish and chips all washed down with a pint of Hoegaarden or Stella, maybe a bottle of Peroni or Tiger?

Could you be looking for a new place to start your evening out and you’re fed up with loud music and huge queues wherever you go? You don’t have to buy a cinema ticket to come and spend an hour or two with us! We can offer you a sophisticated and stylish venue to chat with your friends while enjoying a cocktail from our extensive menu.

On top of all these reasons to come and see us, we also have special monthly events to make us your bar of choice.... Every first Sunday of the month is Norwich’s only exclusively film-themed pub quiz! Starting at 7.30pm in Ambar with entry only £1 per team member why not try and turn that extensive film knowledge into free tickets to see the latest releases??

More a fan of funny? Every third Friday of the month, Ambar is proud to present The Gag Reel. The Gag Reel is a late night comedy show featuring some of Norwich’s best stand up comedians! Look out for more one off events happening all the time plus competitions and live music events!

On top of all that, whenever you visit Ambar we can give you four hours free parking in the Riverside car park!
